MEET THE DESIGNER
Jen Sesniak
Known for her enthusiastic and flexible design process, Jen Sesniak has been working in the design industry for over 15 years. As a Western Michigan University graduate, Jen studied interior design and construction management.
Jen grew up in the construction industry, helping on small projects and doing paperwork for her dad’s young construction company located in the Lansing area. Before designing kitchens and baths she began her professional career as a lighting designer for residential new and remodel projects. Eager to continue learning, Jen evolved into cabinet design and project management. Over time, she had the opportunity to live and work in California, Kalamazoo, MI and Pennsylvania before finally returning home to the Lansing area in 2013. Her nomadic lifestyle has given her insight into design trends and construction practices across the country.
Throughout her career, Jen has continued to learn and hone her skills. In 2009, she earned her AKBD certification through the National Kitchen and Bath Association and continues to maintain her credentials through consistent training and education. While working in Pennsylvania, she had the chance to enhance her design skills by providing whole house design services including furniture and fabric selection and color consulting. Jen returned home to Lansing in 2013 to reconnect with and expand her family.
In 2019, in order to continue to grow and share, Jen opened BluBird Kitchen and Design. She loves sharing her passion for design with her clients and hopes that that along with personal customer service and a curated materials selection will continue to delight her clients for years to come.
